The company is OK if you are starting out right after college, or looking to get some experience after leaving a different field. However, don't expect to stay there for more than a year or two and retain your sanity and any semblance of life/work balance. The place is a dead-end. Managers, client service aides, case managers, clinicians, RN's, and even volunteers don't stay long.

It is a revolving door culture, lots of turnover. Raises are far and few between, and when people get them, they are minuscule. Management has been trained to place all burdens on staff, until eventually they are held accountable and are fired, and a new cycle begins.

The work is stressful, the clients thankless, and if hygiene is important to you, many of its agencies are not for you. There are many things to be said about this company, and most are not good. This was an extremely stressful experience and I was completing tasks that were not in my job description (such as training employees who had higher degrees than I did) and I was not compensated for this.

I was promised things that never happened, treated poorly, and definitely taken advantage of. Would be responding to tickets, assisting with software installations, pc repairs or re-imaging, network issues, printer issues company provided cell phones, tablets or laptops. I have learned a lot about corporate networks, Firewalls, Routers, Virtual Environments, pc troubleshooting also I have learned what working in a corporate environment is like and how to handle issues correctly and efficiently. Management is very helpful and willing to help you go above and beyond your potential.

The culture is very friendly and you are more like a family than a co-worker and I think that is what makes working for a company important. The hardest part of working for the Connection was just relocating Xerox printers. The most enjoyable part was traveling to the farther locations just because the drive is calming. It is a great place to start your career and gain some experience. With that being said, there is a lot of micro managing.

Your job hours should be flexible yet you can't clock in before 8 or you can't go over 8 hours per day. Hartford is run by Spanish employees so be ready for them talking their language in front of you and not including you in the conversation. You work hard to be there for your clients but the people who you are suppose to work with and bounce ideas off of and be your support is lacking. Don't get me wrong nice place to work, it depends on who your manager is and who their program director is.
